DID YOU KNOW...?
A MOMENT (or "momentum") was a medieval unit of time. The movement of a sundial's shadow covered 40 moments per solar hour. A solar hour was 1/12th the time between sunrise and sunset, which varied by season. As a result, the length of a moment was not actually a fixed amount of time!
However, on average, A MOMENT IS ~90 SECONDS (in terms of our modern-day seconds).
